Medium ruby-red in color, but with dark pigmentation. Black fruit on the nose is restrained with aromas of cocoa-butter, vanilla & toasty oak to the fore. Nice acidity lends freshness to the cassis fruit on the palate. The fruit is quite thin & leafy, closing up quickly leaving cocoa & oak notes dominating the mid palate.
